Friction Hinges

The hinge on your uPVC window may show signs of needing replacing. Sometimes your hinge will just break or buckle and it will definitely need replacing. Sometimes your hinge will get corroded over time and your window will become difficult to open and close. Another reason for changing your hinge may be that your window doesn't close completely flush anymore and there is a small gap between the sash and frame. In this instance, your current hinge may have moved slightly and has stopped pulling the sash in efficiently.

In our industry, window hinges are referred to as friction hinges. We carry a stock of friction hinges in our van and can be with you within days to replace.

Handles and Mechanisms

We carry a selection of uPVC window handles and espag locking mechanisms. If your handle has become stuck or you would just like an upgrade, we can help you out. Sometimes a handle that's become stuck doesn't actually need replacing, it could be the actual locking mechanism. The locking mechanism (metal strip underneath your opening sash) can easily become rusty and get jammed. We can replace locking mechanisms for you.
